More details. Inside the Rembrandt House, see how the painter lived and worked. His home was a place where his art and that of his students were on display for patrons. His studio is upstairs, and living quarters ever higher — decorated with period pieces identical to how he furnished his home. There is a space dedicated to his original etchings. Sometimes, we are treated to a lesson in how he made his own oil paints or how etchings were pressed from copper plates. Roaming old Amsterdam over the canals and past some major sights, you then enter the Rijksmuseum. A world class collection inside a neo-Renaissance palace constructed specifically to house Dutch art, our art expert will focus on his masterpieces and those of some of his contemporaries. You may then choose to stay inside the museum to explore the collection on your own.
